My mother became interested in...

My mother became interested in Christian Science in its early days and was one of the pioneer followers of Mary Baker Eddy, its Discoverer and Founder. She sought this Science for one of my sisters after the doctors had said they could do nothing more for her, and my sister was healed. My mother discarded all the relied wholly on Christian Science from then on. This remarkable healing and the increased harmony in the home which followed impressed me deeply, although I was very young.

When a child I was in the barnyard of our farm, petting one of the cows. She threw her head around and struck my eye with one of her horns, badly injuring my eyeball. A farm hand who was right there quickly came to my assistance and carried me to my mother, who treated me in Christian Science. This occurred on a Friday evening, and I was in school the next Monday. In about a week I was able to use the eye and have had normal use of it ever since. This healing has meant much to me all through my life.

I have been in the business world many years, and Christian Science has continually blessed me in my work. It has released me from false habits, given me a measure of prosperity, and a kind wife, who is a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church. All this I owe to God, to Mrs. Eddy, and to her loyal followers. I am very grateful for Christian Science.—Walter T. Railey, Kansas City, Missouri.
