Are we accepting the invitation to partake of the feast of divine Truth and Love?
THE FIRST COMMANDMENT: ITS PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATION
The Christian religion is based upon the First Commandment (Ex. 20:3), "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Christian Science makes possible, practical, and desirable the fulfillment of this great demand. It teaches with flawless logic that there is but one God, the one perfect, universal cause, or divine Principle. It further teaches that God, Spirit, the one and only creator, is conscious only of His perfect creation, man and the universe.
When one contrasts this faultless concept with the so-called material world and its happenings, he must admit that the apparent material creation is just the opposite of perfection. Flaunted before him are the claims of evil. Chance and chaos, restriction and limitation, failure and frustration, conspiracy and tyranny, false doctrine and propaganda, brutality and cruelty, and a seemingly endless round of disorder and confusion appear to hold sway.
In the face of material evidence to the contrary is it possible to accept the proposition that God and His spiritual creation are all that really exists?
