Church Dedications

Rensselaer Republican

Rensselaer, Indiana (First Church).

The dedicatory service of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Rensselaer, was held on Sunday, December 19, 1948. A historical sketch of the church was read.

Interest in Christian Science was aroused in this community in 1910 by healings of a number of people. In 1914 a group of students and friends held services in private homes, and later they met in the basement of the public library.
