It is with deep gratitude for Christian Science that I write this testimony. I thank God for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who revealed and left for us this wonderful truth, which, when understood, enables us to emulate the works of our dear Master, Christ Jesus.

Before I had finished reading the first few chapters of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I had my first healing, which was of constipation. I had taken laxatives practically all my life. Since then I have had numerous other healings, some of which have been of colds, headaches, toothaches, and hemorrhoids; I had an instantaneous healing of a burn when hot grease spilled on my hand. More recently, while attending the Sunday morning service, I was healed of ivy poisoning.

Wrong traits of character have been healed. The social drinking and smoking habits left me when I began to study daily the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. Jealousy, resentment, false pride, self-will, and impatience have been replaced with brotherly love, kindness, mercy, forgiveness, and patience. The spiritual understanding of what God is has brought about the healing of fear, and discord in the home has been healed. Grief was overcome when a member of the family passed on. Supply was increased and employment improved with the clear realization that our supply comes from God, and that our real employment is the reflection of the attributes of God, such as honesty, faithfulness, sincerity, and love.
