"Bless the Lord, O my soul: and...

"Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." These beautiful words of David have awakened me to realize that in not forgetting my benefits from the Lord, I should not forget to express gratitude for them.

I have been greatly blessed in that I was reared in a home where Christian Science was taught and lived. Before I was born, my parents turned to Christian Science because of the physical condition of one of my older sisters. Over forty years ago she was healed of tuberculosis of the knee.

Because as I grew up I did not hear sickness discussed in our home, I have been free from many commonly accepted ills. In my school days and during the nineteen years in which I taught, I was never absent from the classroom because of illness.
