For the privilege of enjoying the benefits of Christian Science since early childhood, I wish to express my profound gratitude. I have proved many times that "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need," as Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 494), and I have learned not to be appalled at error. I was either protected from or quickly healed of ailments common to childhood. Earaches, which appeared many times in my childhood, were permanently healed when I found that I must use my own understanding of Christian Science instead of depending on a practitioner. I have been free from earaches for over twenty-six years.

About twenty-three years ago I was informed by a dentist that the bone in my upper jaw was carious and that my upper front teeth would have to be extracted. An X ray verified his diagnosis. I left the office full of fear, but knew that I could depend on Christian Science. For several days the battle with fear and pain raged, but Truth was victorious. My fear was not entirely overcome for several years, as inflammation and pain returned several times to be reduced to nothingness. I still have my own teeth. This healing came about through my own understanding.

I also have been healed of sinus trouble, boils, headaches, periodic pains, sprained ankle, and several diseases for which I did not know the names.
