HEARING THE LANGUAGE OF MIND

The teachings of Christian Science can be applied everywhere. Its demonstrable spiritual truths can be utilized in every situation, and students of Christian Science are proving this today more than ever before.

Mary Baker Eddy, its Discoverer and Founder, often speaks of God as Mind. She says in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (pp. 510, 511), "Science reveals only one Mind, and this one shining by its own light and governing the universe, including man, in perfect harmony."

The Scriptures base our Leader's assertion that there is but one Mind —God. An enlightening passage which illustrates this fact is found in the book of Acts (2:1,4–8): "When the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. ... And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilæans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?" was not this conclusive evidence that the language of Spirit may be heard by all?
