Norman , who was five years old, was a pupil in a Christian Science Sunday School. There he was learning the Ten Commandments and being taught that God is man's Father-Mother.

One evening Norman complained that he had an earache. So his mother, who had known of Christian Science only about twelve months, decided to help him by knowing the truth in the way that she had learned since taking up the study of Christian Science.

Late that night, however, when she went to Norman's room to tuck him in for the night, he looked so different from his usual peaceful sell that his mother became frightened. Then she remembered that in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy says (p. 368), "When fear disappears, the foundation of disease is gone."
