Complete healing received under Christian Science care

Forty years ago my parents began to study Christian Science, thus enabling my sisters and me to attend a Christian Science Sunday School, where we began to understand that the healing influence of this Science is purely spiritual and that sin, disease, and death are no part of God's universe. As a family we have experienced many physical healings through Christian Science, several of which took place after medical opinion had declared the cases hopeless.

More recently I had the privilege of being cared for in a Christian Science Nursing House in London. I was taken there by ambulance, suffering from a difficulty which was not medically diagnosed, but which appeared to be pleurisy or pneumonia and complications. I am very grateful for the loving nursing care I received and for the joy, peace, and health which were expressed. There is no medical thought or aid in a Science House, and healing comes only through absolute reliance upon God, based on the fact that God is the only lawgiver and that God's kingdom is ever present.

When I was able to read for myself, I studied daily Mrs. Eddy's definitions of God and man which are found on pages 465 and 475 to 477 in the chapter entitled "Recapitulation" in Science and Health. This study enabled me to realize more clearly the ever-presence and allness of God and the inclusion of man in this allness. I am very grateful for the sincere and prayerful thought given by the Christian Science practitioner and for the steadfast endeavor to enable me to realize more clearly the spiritual fact of being that man is whole and perfect now; that God's work is done.
