A Christian Science
family was confronted with a business transaction in which the other person concerned seemed to be getting much the better bargain.

What
havens for the voyagers on the troubled waters of human experience are the Churches of Christ, Scientist, and their Reading Rooms! Although it was my privilege to have a Christian mother and to be brought up in a Christian home, to attend church services, Sunday School, and other activities, and finally become a member of an orthodox church, I did not obtain an understanding of what God really is.
Christian Science and its activities have been known to me since early high school days through the healing of a friend's mother of a so-called incurable disease and through the presence of The Christian Science Monitor in our public library.
Forty years ago my parents began to study Christian Science, thus enabling my sisters and me to attend a Christian Science Sunday School, where we began to understand that the healing influence of this Science is purely spiritual and that sin, disease, and death are no part of God's universe.
Christian Science was first brought to my attention many years ago when I was young enough to be a pupil in the Sunday School; and although my parents were not interested in this Science, they nevertheless permitted me to attend the Sunday School, for which I am very grateful.
