Bobby proves what he learned in Sunday School, that error is not true and that God is Love

"HOLD ON TIGHT!"

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Bobby was five years old and went to the Christian Science Sunday School. His mother was not interested in Christian Science at the time, but his daddy attended the church service while Bobby joined the little boys in his own class. Bobby loved to go to Sunday School and learn about God.

One Sunday morning the teacher said that the Golden Text from the Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly was a very good one for little boys to learn, and she had them repeat it until each one could say it from memory. It reads (I Thess. 5:21), "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." The teacher then read a sentence which means almost the same thing from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 261): "Hold thought steadfastly to the enduring, the good, and the true, and you will bring these into your experience proportionably to their occupancy of your thoughts."

It was explained to the class that they would destroy error as they held fast to the truths about God and man which they were learning in Sunday School. Then they were asked to repeat some of the truths they had learned. One little boy said he knew that God is Love; another boy repeated the Lord's Prayer; and still another told the class that God is the only power. Bobby said that he knew that God is his Father-Mother, and that He takes care of His children.
