Healing of varicose veins comes with realization that matter is unreal

Ten years ago Christian Science was presented to me by an uncle who is a wonderful example of what the study and application of this beautiful religion will do for an individual. Just through reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed in a week of constipation and heart trouble.

Some years later I had a healing of varicose veins when I realized the truth of Mrs. Eddy's statement (p. 393), "Have no fear that matter can ache, swell, and be inflamed as the result of a law of any kind, when it is self-evident that matter can have no pain nor inflammation." I held to that thought, and with the help of a consecrated practitioner a complete healing was soon brought about.

Christian Science has taught me to think positively and clearly. For this reason it is often my joy to open our Hymnal and sing our inspiring hymns; to visit the Reading Rooms, not to work out of an erroneous belief, but quietly to commune with God; to thank my Father-Mother God for the many glorious things which I have not yet seen, and to be glad, always, for the entire Christian Science movement.— (Miss) Clementine B.
