There is only one idea large enough to meet the aspirations of the human soul, and that is man's intimate relation of sonship In God. Man must intimately know and... must trust God completely, and he must stand perfect before God by the standard of God's great perfections.

The Biblical word which names this relation is sonship. Man is called to live one life with God. The perfection of God is to be the standard of man's goodness. The wisdom of God is to be the guide of man's relations. Absolute trust in God is to be the breath of man's living. High dependence upon God is to be the confidence of man's life.
