NO CONDEMNATION

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." These words are to be found in the eighth chapter of Paul's letter to the Romans, and what hope, joy, and refuge mankind may find in them! How blessed is that state of consciousness in which is to be found no condemnation! The reason for this state of consciousness is given in the following verse of that same chapter: "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."

What is the nature of "life in Christ Jesus" and of its spiritual law? The answer to that question is found in the Master's three years' ministry, during which he set aside all suppositional material laws with the ever-operating, actual spiritual law of divine goodness. This "law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus" is still operating with the same majesty and power as when it was demonstrated by the Master in his proof of man's dominion over evil. "Life in Christ Jesus" is the manifestation of the Truth, Life, or God which is harmonious and eternal. That which is eternal is the ever-present, uninterrupted truth of being, true today because true eternally—and changeless in its perfect Principle.

On page 332 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy writes, "The Christ is incorporeal, spiritual,— yea, the divine image and likeness, dispelling the illusions of the senses." On the same page she writes, "Jesus demonstrated Christ; he proved that Christ is the divine idea of God —the Holy Ghost, or Comforter, revealing the divine Principle, Love, and leading into all truth."
