ALL IS WELL
It is most desirable, and the least we can do, to thank God for all His goodness at all times. But when things go wrong in human affairs, who is ready to declare with the same conviction that the Shunammite voiced when Elisha inquired as to her welfare, "It is well"?
This woman's child had just died, and she was hastening to meet the man of God. To the salutation of Elisha's servant, "Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child?" her immediate response was, "It is well" (II Kings 4:26). It is recorded that Elisha later restored the child, thus confirming her faith and fulfilling her declarations of Truth. The wonderful affirmation and recognition of the truth that all is well, and that the harmony of man as God's reflection is an established fact, despite the testimony of discord and inharmony to the contrary, prepared the way for the outward manifestation of harmony and gave irrefutable proof that all is always well in God's kingdom. Indeed, it annulled the lie of discord and disease stemming from a false material sense of life and made apparent the truth that in the realm of the real, harmony reigns perpetually and uninterruptedly.
