My heart is filled with gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for Christian Science and for all it has done for me.

From the age of ten, when I first entered a Christian Science Sunday School, I have been blessed, healed, and uplifted. At the age of eleven or twelve I became ill with a severe case of itch. Finally, after several days' work, the faithful practitioner who had been handling the case told my mother that, since the condition seemed no better, there was evidently work which I had to do. I cried myself to sleep that night, but as I did, I was repeating "the scientific statement of being" from page 468 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I had learned this statement and many other truths in the Sunday School. In the morning when I awakened, all evidence of the rash and irritation had vanished, and I was well.

About eight years ago I fell and sprained my ankle while running down a steep driveway. I was on my way to work, so I got into the car and started it, but the pain was such that I could use only one foot to drive. I had left early, so I stopped by the sea and studied the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly as I had planned, I spent about two hours in study and prayer and then went on to my work at the appointed time. I had been healed of all pain. I walked and ran without any sense of discomfort all that day, waiting on customers, and in two or three days the swelling subsided. That was the end of the trouble.
