AT-ONE-MENT WITH GOD DISPELS LONELINESS

To find our oneness with God is to discover the highest and happiest relationship. One who avails himself of every opportunity for spiritual communion with the Father becomes progressively conscious of the tender presence of divine Love. Striving always to stay close to God, the one Mind, he will be rewarded, and every moment of solitude will provide added opportunity for consecration of thought.

"God is our Father and our Mother, our Minister and the great Physician: He is man's only real relative on earth and in heaven," Mary Baker Eddy assures us in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 151). The Christian Scientist knows that the belief of loneliness is no more the truth of being than are sin, sickness, and death. Man can never be alone, for he is forever with God, divine Love, his Father-Mother.

Christ Jesus said (John 10:30), "I and my Father are one." This truth bases the teaching of Christian Science that God, divine Principle, and man, His idea, are inseparable. They are, and have always been, at one and eternally harmonious. Just as Jesus demonstrated man's relationship with the Father, so can every seeker for Truth.
