Since I commenced the study of...
Since I commenced the study of Christian Science so many blessings have unfolded to me that I should like to write this testimony, sincerely hoping that it may help others.
The problem of social drinking was overcome when I became a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church. I found strength to know that the fear of criticism was error and that it had no power over me.
At one time I was in great trouble because of deceit practiced over a long period of years by one in whom I had placed confidence and trust. With the help of a (Christian Science practitioner the feeling of desolation and resentment that possessed me and all the desire for revenge were completely wiped out. Endeavoring to realize man's unity with his Father-Mother God, I saw that neither deceit nor resentment can be qualities of Love and that man. made in the image and likeness of God, is capable of reflecting only the qualities of God, Life. Truth, and Love. Mary Baker Eddy says in "Science and Health with Keyto the Scriptures" (p. 299), "Corporeal sense, or error, may seem to hide Truth, health, harmony, and Science, as the mist obscures the sun or the mountain; but Science, the sunshine of Truth, will melt away the shadow and reveal the celestial peaks."
