MAKING OUR OWN DEMONSTRATIONS

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Meg and Robert had gone to the Christian Science Sunday School as long as they could remember. They had learned there that they could prove the truth about God and man for themselves and did not always have to ask Mother or Daddy to help them demonstrate the truth.

They understood in some degree that God's children are made in His image and likeness, as the Bible tells us. and that God's children can never be separated from Him, because He is man's Life: that God never sends sickness, or any evil, because everything that He makes is good. They had also been taught when error whispers that sickness is real to turn quickly away from its whispering and hear the voice of God telling them not to be afraid. Meg had learned this verse from the Bible in Sunday School (Isa. 41:10): "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

When we stay close to God by reflecting His thoughts thoughts of love, joy, kindness, gratitude, obedience, unselfishness we are well and happy, because we have proved that God is the only power. To know that the real man is never separated from God, because he is the spiritual and perfect child of God. enables us to make our demonstration over error.
