In 1912 I was instantaneously healed through Christian Science of extreme nausea, after being unable to retain food or medicine for nearly five weeks. I had become so weak that I had to be turned in bed. At this time we had a visit from an aunt whose life had been so transformed through the study of Christian Science that we listened eagerly to her explanations. A few days later, when this aunt returned to her home, she called a practitioner at our request. Work was taken up for me, and at that time I was given some food, which I enjoyed. I asked for my clothes, dressed, and remained up for the rest of the day. In the evening I walked out into the yard to meet my father, much to his amazement, and I ate a hearty dinner with the family that evening. I had no further difficulty .

It would require much space to tell of all the blessings that have come to me and my family during the intervening years. We have experienced healings of tonsillitis, appendicitis, eczema, constipation, burns, headaches, and pneumonia. Help was requested for a wart on the nose, and it disappeared quickly; at the same time a large birthmark under the arm faded away. I have experienced almost painless childbirth, and Christian Science treatment proved adequate in meeting all the childhood ailments in our little family of three children.

For the past thirty-six years Christian Science has been my only help, my solace when I have been troubled my strength when greater endurance has been required, my shield when there has been danger, my guide when I have been perplexed, and my consolation when this Science has been misunderstood. Indeed it has proved to be the Comforter which our Master promised.
