In obedience to the Psalmist's...
In obedience to the Psalmist's injunction (Ps. 103:2, 3), "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases," I am giving this testimony in the hope that it may assure someone in need that God does heal.
My mother took up the study of Christian Science some forty-five years ago for the relief of sick headaches which had caused her much suffering since early childhood. Her complete healing proved to her that Christian Science is that truth which Jesus affirmed "shall make you free." With the aid of a practitioner she was also healed of tonsillitis. After my birth, my mother applied the truths she was learning to many childhood ailments, which disappeared before the light of spiritual understanding.
When a child of six, I fell from the second story of an unfloored house which was under construction. The carpenter who carried me to my mother was greatly alarmed at the symptoms of serious internal injuries and told her he thought I could live but a few hours. She turned to the practitioner who had been of such great spiritual assistance before, and in three days I was able to walk downstairs into the yard, and in a short time I was entirely free.
