LOVE

I used to be afraid
Of dark and lonely rooms
Until I heard God say,
"Lo, I am here,
And 'perfect love casteth out fear.'"

I used to be afraid
Of being unbeloved
Until I heard God say:
"I am here alway.
My love is ever near.
And 'perfect love casteth out fear.'"

I used to be afraid
To take my stand against the world
Until I heard God say:
"Dear child, you stand with Me;
You cannot fall.
My love for man will heal them all.
Be still, knowing that I am God,
And I am here."

Dear God, I know;
And Love has cast out all my fear.
