Delaware, Ohio (First Church).

Dedication of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Delaware, was held on Sunday morning, October 5, 1947, in the church building, 97 West Central Street, church officials announced today.

The church held its first services as a Christian Science Society in June, 1916, in rooms at 2 East Winter Street. Services were held there until 1919, when the society moved to o East Winter Street. Sunday School classes were begun the following year, and the church received its state charter in September, 1927.

Continued growth made the purchase of property necessary. The brick building on West Central Street was purchased and later remodeled.—Gazette.
