For Christian Science and for the many proofs of its healing efficacy which I have had and witnessed during the past twenty years I am very grateful.

I did not become interested in Science through healing, but, before I went to a practitioner for the first time, I was healed of the smoking and drinking habits with all the errors which claim a place in the life of those who indulge in these habits.

I spent the winter of 1927 and 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While there I met a young man who, although he was not a church member, had experienced proof of the healing efficacy of Christian Science. He had asthma, and there were times when he had great trouble in breathing. At such times he would have me read to him from the Christian Science platform on pages 330 to 340 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and freedom from the difficulty would always result. After about three weeks of urging by this young man, I finally agreed to attend a church service with him. From the day I went to this service until today I have been an earnest student of Christian Science.
