I first heard of Christian Science over forty-five years ago, and I have been so blessed by testimonies of others that I feel I must delay no longer in sharing my blessings with the world through the Sentinel.

The greatest revelation of the Christ-healing came to me while I was sewing for a Christian Scientist and was in conversation with her about healing. I was so impressed with what she told me that I said to her: "I have had a lump in my side for years. Do you suppose Science could heal me?" I noticed she was very quiet, and then she remarked, "That does not belong to you." Nothing more was said, but I began to wonder why she had been so quiet all at once and if it could have been prayer. I knew nothing about treatment at that time, but I had been taught all my life to pray and had been a member of an orthodox church for years. However, prayer that could heal without words was new to me. My aroused thinking about prayer, following this Christian Scientist's silent treatment, brought instantaneous healing, which I gratefully acknowledged that same day.

From that time on I began studying Christian Science earnestly, and it has been my sole reliance and has met my every need. I later became a member of a Christian Science church in California and soon afterwards of The Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts.
