I should like to express my gratitude for a healing received through the study of Christian Science.

I was suffering from severe pleurisy, and after he had been caring for me for several months, the doctor said he could do nothing more for me, and that I had only a short time to live. I had to stop working and, although I did not then know of Christian Science, I ceased having medical care. Although still ill, I took a government position. Then it was that a friend told me of Christian Science. I immediately went to see a practitioner, who was willing to help me. However, in accordance with the rules of the governmental service where I worked, I had to go before a medical board, where an X ray showed a displacement of the heart of four centimeters. My condition was declared grave and I was given a year's vacation.
