Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Chesterton Tribune

Chesterton, Indiana (First Church).

On Sunday, June 29, 1947, the members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Chesterton, formally dedicated their church edifice, located at 117 Lincoln Avenue.

The services, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, were identical and followed the established order of the regular Sunday service of Christian Science churches. In keeping with the dedicatory phase of the occasion the First Reader read the following historical sketch of the church:
