Pilgrim on earth, home and heaven are within thee,
Heir of the ages and child of the day.
Cared for, watched over, beloved and protected,
Walk thou with courage each step of the way.

How grateful I am for these words from the Christian Science Hymnal (No. 278). They have often helped me to realize that neither time nor space can separate man from happiness.

During my recent service in the Army I had many opportunities to prove God's protecting and healing care. One morning while I was at a camp in the United States I awoke very ill. Those around me suggested that I go on sick call, but knowing that I was a Christian Scientist they did not insist. I asked the sergeant if I could be excused for a few minutes. The request was granted and I returned to my bunk. Having been brought up in a Christian Science home I knew that this was only an opportunity to prove the ever-presence of God. I opened the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and my eyes rested on this passage (p. 243): "Perfection does not animate imperfection." The truth of this statement was seen and felt, and I knew that I was healed.

I returned to my work in a few minutes radiantly happy and praising God. I was most grateful that those around me had seen this proof of scientific healing as taught by our Leader.

How grateful I am that Christian Science is a world-wide religion. Even while I was overseas with the Army of Occupation I still had the opportunity to attend church services and Sunday School regularly.

I give thanks daily to God and am grateful to Mrs. Eddy, who gave us this glorious truth in a practical, healing religion.—Robert C. Braman, Seattle, Washington.
