Many years ago, when physicians and material remedies had failed and I was in despair, I turned to Christian Science and was healed. During the intervening years it has brought innumerable blessings into my life, including a healing of rheumatism with the help of a practitioner.

One evening three years ago I had just crossed a street and was stepping onto the sidewalk when a car that was standing there started suddenly and knocked me to the pavement. I was about to try to rise when two men who had witnessed the accident took me to a physician's office, I there learned that my right leg was broken about midway between the ankle and the knee.

At my request a Christian Science practitioner was called for help. I experienced no pain when the leg was set, which, perhaps owing to my age, greatly surprised the doctor. A day or two after the cast was removed I crossed my room twice, helping myself along with my hands on the back of a chair, and then realized that I no longer required material assistance. I never used crutches or a cane.

Several times when the doctor visited me he expressed surprise about the progress I was making. He gave me no medical aid, and after I began to walk he said he wished that everyone who had a broken leg could know something about Christian Science.
