I have had so many blessings...

I have had so many blessings through the study of the works of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I should like to share at least one experience with my fellow man.

During the war, air raids seemed to be my biggest test. While they were going on, we would declare the truth. We always found our hymns a great comfort.

On one particular night when an air raid was at its worst, the following passage in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy came to me (p. 495): "When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling steadfastly to God and His idea. Allow nothing but His likeness to abide in your thought." The verse from the ninety-first Psalm also was a great help, "A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee." This proved to be true, for that night, although our house was destroyed, we were safe, knowing that "under his wings" we could trust. I felt very grateful indeed for the spiritual inspiration which had come to me.
