Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy...

Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, says (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." I have proved this many times during the last twenty-five years.

Fourteen years ago I became very ill, and to satisfy other members of the family went to the hospital for a twenty-four-hour observation by three leading doctors. They believed an immediate major operation necessary if I were to give birth to my child, for I had a large tumor. I was also on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

I was middle-aged and childless and felt sure that this child was the answer to my deep and humble prayers. So I turned to God, knowing the truth of Mrs. Eddy's statement quoted above. For several months I kept my thinking pure and free by consecrated daily study of our Leader's writings. The tumor was dissolved, and my daughter was born normally. When I think about this healing, even now, I feel very close to God.
