My sister and I have been studying Christian Science since 1928, at which time she was healed of paralysis. I am grateful that we both started to study earnestly at that time and have continued to reap the benefits of that study in healthier and happier lives.

These are some of the things which Christian Science has done for me. It has healed me of frequent sick headaches, the need for wearing glasses, chronic constipation, colds, sore throat, and the desire to smoke or drink or to condemn others who have not yet seen the unreality of these false attractions. It has helped me to find progressively better positions in the business world. Through the study of Christian Science I found a place to serve my country during the recent war, and this has led to worthwhile peacetime activity. The experience of flying seven thousand miles to a post in the Middle East without fear or air sickness was a great cause for gratitude.

I am particularly grateful for years of active church work in New York City, and the precious experience of class instruction from a truly consecrated teacher. This enabled me to bear witness to the truth of Christian Science in a land where many of the events recorded in the Bible took place. The return journey by air and sea through India and the Pacific also provided many instances of God's loving care.
