I wish to express my deep gratitude...
I wish to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science. It has been the greatest blessing that has come into my life. Whilst we were away on holiday our daughter, who had always suffered from what was pronounced by doctors congenital heart disease, was taken very ill and we had all the medical advice available. We were told that if we could keep her, and in their opinion there was doubt, she would always be an invalid, and it would be kinder to let her go—a sacrifice to which we could not reconcile ourselves. At this time a friend who was investigating Christian Science told us about it. On returning home we called a practitioner, whose loving work soon resulted in a complete healing. One of the most comforting things she gave us to hold on to was "the scientific statement of being," on page 468 in our text-book, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Our daughter was able to continue her education and lead a happy, normal, and useful life.
We have had many other healings in our home, of difficulties such as rheumatoid arthritis in the knee, for which my husband wore an iron support, sick headaches, tonsillitis, a displaced internal organ, and false traits of character, such as oversensitiveness and a hasty temper. For these healings and for being able to serve in church activities, for membership in The Mother Church, and for class instruction from a consecrated teacher, I am deeply grateful. For Christ Jesus, our Way-shower; for our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy; and for what Christian Science is doing for me and mine and all mankind, I am sincerely grateful.—(Mrs.) Helen L. Hill, Willenhall, Staffordshire, England.
I am happy to verify my wife's testimony of the healing of our daughter of the many healings and blessings we have both received. I am very grateful that Christian Science was brought to our notice.—Thomas Hill.
