Concerning Christian Science Wartime and Postwar Activities

When the opportunity to send food parcels was presented to us, our members responded gratefully and generously. Now, at the end of our four months' project, we wish to express our appreciation of the great joy this work has brought to us. We have had so many letters from those who have received the parcels, letters filled with gratitude and expressions of love, that we feel we have reaped a greater blessing than they. ...

With more experience our boxes have improved in the value and quality of content. ...

A gentleman who received a replacement pocket for his trousers just when holes appeared in his own, wrote: "When I found this I knew at once that the whole parcel was not just tins with string around, but a collection of kind thoughts bound round with love and sent out with the knowledge that it would find its right place."
