The Ever-present Guide
"And
other sheep I have,"
the Master said with tenderness,
"which are not of this fold:
them also I must bring."
Yet there were some already his;
to these the truths he told
upon the hillside,
on the quiet shore beside the sea.
These heard the Shepherd's voice,
and, leaving all,
they followed in his steps.
Now we rejoice to know
the Christ is here
to lead his own
and bring the wanderers home.
