Christian Science heals. The very fact that I am writing this testimony today is proof of that fact. I hope I may encourage someone who thinks that he must believe in it in order to be helped to try Science for healing. I surely did not have faith in it when it was presented to me by a relative.

I had been under a doctor's care for six months, part of the time in a hospital. Several doctors treated me in that time, but they could not agree as to what was the matter with me. I was treated for frozen kidney, sunstroke, and epilepsy without any improvement in my condition. On the contrary, I grew steadily worse.

The last attack occurred just before dinner one evening. While I was unconscious, a relative who knew I had been informed that I should have to enter a sanatorium, where no hope of relief could be held out to me, called a Christian Science practitioner. She came to the house and sat by my bed serenely, to the amazement of those present. In thirty minutes I fully recovered, arose and went to the dinner table, and ate a hearty meal. This took place in 1923, and the healing has been permanent.
