Although my healings and blessings through the study and application of Christian Science have been legion for more than twenty years, I have never before expressed my gratitude through the medium of our periodicals. I should like to share one experience which occurred in 1937, because relatives and friends who knew of the situation and later witnessed my healing said that a miracle had taken place.

I was struggling with a difficulty that did not yield to Christian Science treatment. To please my husband I agreed to be examined by a physician. He diagnosed the case as tumor and recommended an operation, but said I would have to submit to blood transfusions before an operation could be performed. As I was unwilling to accept his verdict, I was then taken to a specialist. His diagnosis was the same, and as he said an immediate operation was necessary, arrangements were made for me to enter a hospital on the following day.

Upon arriving home, I gave the matter much thought and decided that now was my opportunity to prove what I knew of Christian Science. I canceled all arrangements for my hospitalization and operation, and called a Christian Science practitioner. The trouble seemed to grow worse, and I became confined to a chair day and night. I was unable to lie down, and could not walk, but had to be cared for like an infant. One afternoon my immediate family was called to my home, as it was believed I was passing on. A loving friend was also summoned, and remained with me all night, working in Science.
