About fifteen years ago I expressed my gratitude for Christian Science in The Christian Science Journal. With the increased understanding gained since then, more freedom has been attained, and I feel a great desire to voice again my gratitude for the infallible protection and healing which this wounderful truth brings.

As a child I was extremely sensitive to unpleasant occurrences around me, or sensational accounts in the newspapers. The old theological belief in an inexorable God who punished His children if they disobeyed His will also weighed me down. As I grew up, my fears increased and I worried constantly. Eventually I went to a nerve specialist, who kindly tried to reassure me and sent me home to the country with a tonic.
