When I was a small child my mother was healed in Christian Science after a consultation of doctors had resulted in her case being pronounced hopeless, and in her gratitude she sent her children to the Christian Science Sunday School. Christian Science was a preventive more than a curative in my childhood, for I have no recollection of illness, although my mother told me later I had been healed of jaundice when a child.

I recall one instance when my baby brother fell down the cellar stairs, biting his tongue so that the tip of it was almost severed. We did not have a telephone then, and my mother took him In trolley to a practitioner's home. When she returned an hour or more later, the healing was complete.
