Even before I was old enough to know and study Christian Science, Truth sustained and provided for me, because this Science was studied in my home. Many wonderful healings were accomplished in our family, including those of pneumonia, so-called childrens diseases, heart trouble, sciatic rheumatism, injuries from a severe fall, constipation, and colds. Protection and the ever-presenee of supply were also demonstrated. Through the understanding of Science I have been sustained at the passing of loved ones. Without Christian Science none of these experiences could have been replaced, as they were, by a true sense of harmony and the operation of one divine law.

My mother was a member of The Mother Church for over forty years. At the time of her marriage, doctors said my father would live only five years, ten at the most. This was proved false by thirty years, through the help of Christian Science. My mother was among those who had the privilege of seeing our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, at Pleasant Mew in 1902.

One physical healing which seems outstanding in my experience and for which I am profoundly grateful, I should like to share with others. While I was using an electric washing machine and endeavoring to extricate some clothes caught in the wringer, one of my hands passed through the rollers. Not realizing how to release the pressure at that moment, I reversed the rollers; thus my hand passed through the rollers twice. A large ring was smashed and cut into my fingers. A Christian Science practitioner was immediately called, and the hand washed and covered, I was asked by the practitioner not to look at the material evidence or to allow others to do so. In a day I was driving a car and doing all my usual work, which included caring for our small baby.
