We are all acquainted with the person who goes about surrounded by a cloud of gloom and who spends his time wondering why life is so difficult. And we are likewise acquainted with the one who radiates sunshine and good cheer and who finds life a glorious adventure. The difference between the two is not their environment, but their inner resources.

A Negro maid in a sanitarium was discussing the situation with a patient and in the course of her remarks said, "I have noticed that it makes an awful lot of difference what kind of environment a person has god inside of them."
