"ALL THINGS THAT THE FATHER HATH ARE MINE"

The power of Love to overcome the obstacles of material belief was most forcefully illustrated in the building of the original Mother Church edifice. Financial lack, shortages of labor and material, labor disputes, legal restrictions, and transportation difficulties, all were annulled through the application of the law of divine Love.

Writing of the building of The Mother Church, Joseph Armstrong says in his book "The Mother Church" (pp. 101, 102), "It was a victory for Christian Science, a victory in which every claim of error was met and overcome." He gives full credit for the successful building of this Church to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in these words (ibid., Pref., p. iv): "She alone, God's chosen and anointed one, deserves the credit of this mighty victory for Mind's supremacy; for it was her warning call and loving counsel that led on to success, in the face of such seeming odds. Her nearness to the great heart of Love endowed her with power from on high, before which every obstacle vanished."

Through the study of Christian Science all may gain an understanding of God, divine Love, the Principle of all good, and learn to demonstrate His presence and power. Since divine Love is the infinite source of all good, our human desire for the appearance of more good in our experience is fulfilled as we realize the ever-presence of God, good. Thus we prove that lack, limitation, or inharmony of whatever nature is unknown in God's universe, and that spiritual man, the only man, living in the divine presence, reflects God's infinite resources.
