Because God is Love, any attempt to live lovelessly is a violation of God and inevitably leads to disaster. ...

That is why the insignia by which a Christian is to be indentified is love. It isn't going to church, or praying, or familiarity with the Bible, or acceptance of a creed. It is being unable to pass by on the other side of the road when a fellow man—any fellow man—is in need. It is having the God-given love that is able to overcome pride and prejudice and indifference.
