I have had abundant proof that Christian Science does heal. One such proof was my healing of a serious case of appendicitis within a few days. On another occasion I slipped on an icy street. After the accident I found myself in a serious condition. I was unable to move, and it seemed as though I had suffered severe internal injuries. The practitioner's understanding of Truth encouraged me to rely solely on God. I was completely healed without any medical treatment. Four weeks after the accident I was able to take up my work again. During the time I was having treatment I was healed of severe attacks of coughing.

I was also healed in Christian Science of pronounced deafness. This affliction was such that I could not hear even the organ in the church. I was stone deaf in my right ear, and a hearing apparatus did not bring me any relief. The healing took place rather slowly, but it taught me to change my way of thinking and to put into practice what I had already learned. All these experiences helped me to progress. As I gained some comprehension that all-hearing Mind is my Mind, my God, Isaiah's prophecy was literally fulfilled for me (Isa. 29:18), "In that day shall the deaf hear."

I should also like to mention that through the faithful work of the practitioner I was healed of chronic constipation, a weak heart, and other inharmonious physical conditions. Many thanks are due the practitioner for her endless patience, for the treatment given so unselfishly, and for the never-failing help.
