Signs of the Times
The Vital Part of Education
J. Edgar Hoover as quoted in the Daily Press Ashland, Wisconsin
J. Edgar Hoover, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, said ... that "Americans cannot stand by and permit [their] children to grow up in Christian America without ever attending religious services. A child who comes in contact with religion, even if but once a week, is far less apt to become a juvenile delinquent than one who never enters a church. ... The continued greatness of our nation rests in large part on the shoulders of our youth. I heartily approve of any cause which has Christian teachings and guidance to youth as its objective."
Edgar F. Magnin as quoted in the Times Los Angeles, California
