For about fifty years I have been receiving and enjoying the benefits which come to every student of Christian Science, and I am very grateful. During this time I have seen Science perform many remarkable physical healings, as well as solve many other problems.

In the case of a serious accident about twelve years ago, the instant application of what little I knew of Christian Science saved my life. My testimony of this incident was published in The Christian Science Journal of August, 1939.

The last physical healing I have experienced, occurred over a year ago, and there has been no return of the trouble. One morning as I started to read the weekly Lesson-Sermon, as has been my daily custom since I became interested in Science, there seemed to be some dirt in my eyes which caused numberless small black specks and fine lacy lines all over the pages. Thinking that whatever was in my eyes would be cleared out by my reading of the Lesson, I continued to read, but there was no change. I applied what knowledge of Christian Science I had to the condition that day with no beneficial result. The second day I got some eye wash, which I used with no success. The third day I thought it best to call an oculist, who was a friend, to have him remove whatever I had gotten into my eyes. After a lengthy examination lasting half an hour, he asked me to call again the next day, which I did, whereupon he went through the same examination and then told me that I had cataracts starting in both eyes.
