"Music is more than sound in unison."*
The Canadian composer, Allanson G. Y. Brown, has written attractive solo settings for the seven poems by the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, which are also dearly loved as hymns: "Christ My Refuge" (O'er Waiting Harpstrings); "Christmas Morn" (Blest Christmas Morn); "Communion Hymn" (Saw Ye My Saviour?); "Feed My Sheep" (Shepherd, Show Me How to Go); "Love;" "Mothers Evening Prayer" (O Gentle Presence); "Satisfied" These new settings, although they are of much interest musically, are graded "simple to medium."
