Man's Immortal Status
The world in general regards matter as substance and Spirit as shadow. Christian Science proves the opposite to be true, and is gradually bringing about a reversal of the false viewpoint.
It is becoming better understood that we live in a spiritually mental universe. Because this truth is not apparent to personal sense mankind is slow to accept it. It is provable in Christian Science, however, that the universe including man is the spiritual idea or reflection of divine Mind, or God, and that man can have no other mind. The belief that man has a mind, or existence, apart from God is an error of belief which too long has deluded mankind.
Because man is created in God's image and likeness, as the Bible declares, he reflects all the qualities of his creator. Nothing concerning man can be deduced from material premises. His being is wholly spiritual. The belief that man is mortal and material, and that he possesses an indwelling immortal soul which may be either saved or lost, is exposed in Christian Science as entirely fallacious.
