"Watchman, tell us of the night"

A Child of six was asked by her father one evening to get him a glass of water from the kitchen. The child became uneasy, climbed on his lap, and said, "I'm afraid, Daddy!"

"What are you afraid of?" inquired the father.

With tears trickling down her cheeks she answered, "I'm afraid of the dark, Daddy!"
