Church Dedications

Morgantown Post

Morgantown, West Virginia (First Church).

Dedication services of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Morgantown at 236 Cobun Avenue, were held on Sunday, September 9, 1945.

The church had its beginning here in 1910, when a small group of interested persons met in a private home to read from the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Attendance increased, and the group met once a week in the rear room of a millinery shop on Spruce Street where the regular weekly Lesson-Sermons were read.
